Frequently Asked Questions
What is a non-refundable deposit?
A non-refundable deposit is required when booking a photo session with me. This amount is reduced off the total amount of the session. Photographers provide a service that is normally booked in advance, and the non refundable deposit is to ensure that you show up to your scheduled session. If you’re a no show or you cancel on your photographer, the non refundable deposit goes towards the time that the photographer has spent corresponding with you and/or the time spent traveling to the location of the session along with the fact that the photographer could have booked someone else during that time.
I understand that things come up unexpectedly, and if provided notice to reschedule your session within that season (ex. fall session to be rescheduled still during that fall season that same year) then that non-refundable deposit can still apply to the session. However, the deposits aren’t held as a lifelong credit to be used years down the road.
Do you travel?
Yes, absolutely! I'm always down for an adventure!
Do you deliver RAW images?
Unfortunately, I don't.
How do I book a session?
Booking a session with me is simple - Find the "contact" page at the top, and fill out the form. You can also email me directly at mdrosephotography@hotmail.com
What is the turnaround time?
Sessions are 2 weeks and weddings/elopements can take up to 8-10 weeks, but I try hard to get them done as soon as possible.
I do also post a sneak peek within the week of your session, if you’re okay with that of course! You can always opt out of me sharing them online.
How do we choose our images and how do you send the final images?
I upload the finished images through an online gallery, where you can choose the photos you'd like. Then I will send you a final link where you can download them onto your phone/computer. It’s also very easy to share the gallery with your family & friends, just send them the link and they have them too!
Can you Photoshop me to look _______?
No, I’m not an expert in Photoshop and to be honest, I don’t believe in editing people to make them look different. Of course, I’ll edit any blemishes (anything temporary) but I wouldn't alter your appearance.
Do your gift cards expire? If so, when?
Gift cards purchased are valid for one year from the date of purchase. After the expiration date, the value of the gift card will still be honored, but the specific package or service specified on the gift card may be subject to change based on any pricing adjustments.
